About me: life as a Christian teen, sophmore, writer, artist, and over-thinker...
Hey there! Welcome to the world of wild ideas, where imagination flourishes and fantasies meet the page. Hosted by a high school soon-to-be sophomore, Lydeea's Wonders features art portfolios, enchanted tales, carefree sketches, or simply sneak peeks of Lydia's daily life.
Since childhood, Lydia has been caught whispering whimsical tales of princesses living happily ever after, whether in the bathroom or tucked under her bedcovers. Even as a fifteen-year-old, she sometimes struggles to separate reality from her daydreams.
Lydia adores telling funny stories and chanting silly songs to entertain her family. When she’s not buried under piles of homework, she’s either creating a new tune about her brothers’ latest antics or doodling in her treasured journal. Even as a 16-year-old, her playful spirit continues to bloom with freehand sketches and random quotes scattered everywhere...
But beneath her cheerful energy lies a quiet struggle.
A master of overthinking and a loyal slave to perfectionism, Lydia often finds herself tangled in the triviest nitty gritties. Oh, overthinking and perfectionism? Isn't that the perfect recipe for...eh...the opposite of success, A.K.A failure?
So, Lydia started this blog. Though it was a burst of motivation, she's not here to showcase polished masterpieces, but to venture outside her comfort zone. To plant her little ideas and to witness how they blossom.
A huge fan of the Anne of Green Gables series, Lydia feels drawn to Anne Shirley’s carefree and imaginative spirit. She admires how Anne, even as a teacher, allows her students to write anything that comes to mind without restrictions. Now, in Lydia’s world with blooming ideas, she is determined to turn her thoughts into words, whether it’s publishing articles or simply writing in her journal -- striving to combat her mood swings and perfectionism.
Still, during the hardest seasons of life, Lydia can't help but struggle to find peace in her hectic schedule. In those moments, she turns to her favorite verse for encouragement—John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This promise reminds Lydia to lay every moment of her life before Jesus, working to resist the overwhelming chaos of this sinful world. She tries to seek comfort in Him—the journey she’s continuing to tread.
